Born and raised in Northern California, L.A. has been an avid fan of the written word since she was young. Her favorite genre to both read and write in is fantasy, especially high fantasy. She now lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, children, cat and guinea fowl. 

She has two completed young adult fantasy novels so far, Doorways and Liquid Fire. Both are in the querying stage of their journeys. 

As well as writing and being immersed in different worlds, she loves gardening and being out in nature
