It seems unreal the year is almost at an end. I completed #NaNoWriMo and actually made it to 50K words - much to my surprise. My final count was 51,275 so with ignoring my editor and everything else, I now have a very rough draft of the first three-quarters of a new novel. I’m very excited about that. I also installed the last stone tiles in the kids’ bathroom. I removed most of the grout I need to redo, but I don’t yet have everything regrouted. I need to finish sealing the new stones first. So that will be going on my to-do list for December.
On the December list will also be participating in #Pitmad on Twitter this Thursday and getting my other novel ready for #SFFpit in January. If you have not checked out #Pitmad and you have a novel you are interested in pitching to agents and publishers, I highly encourage you to check out #Pitmad. It’s crazy, and intense, but it’s worth doing just to see if you get any interest. I also find trying to condense my 90k word novel down into 120 characters, helps me hone in on what the core conflict of the story is. #Pitmad is a touch overwhelming with all the tweets going out. But watching what tweets in my genre are getting the most interest from agents and publishers can be highly educational and helps me get ready for the next #Pitmad. For anyone who wants to check them out, here are the links to #Pitmad and #SFFpit websites. Good luck!
